The want monster

Me want it

"Me want it" is currently most used phrase in our house. It's a very accurate statement, however what's actually being said is, "me need it!" This got me thinking about my own consumeristic desires.

How often do my "wants" become "needs"?

Would the wants even exist if I reduced the exposure to sales emails or trips to target or opening the Amazon app? I've started to realize that most of the things I want, aren't needed. Unnecessary exposure to shiny new things feeds the want monster — resulting in a pile of things I don't need.

Off to starve the monster.
