This past weekend began the demolition of our master bathroom. For the last two months, we've sketched out several layout modifications, but never settled on one because we were unsure if they'd work.
That hesitation stemmed mostly from the unknown of what lied behind the walls. Fortunately, we haven't (yet) encountered any surprises that would hinder our favorite plan.
I couldn't help but think about this analogy as it applies to life. The best laid plans can all be ruined by a surprise within the wall.
You can't really know what to expect, until you start ripping away the outer layer.
