Failure often leads to clarity

Forced Simplification

Two indirect things happened last week that ended up directly correlating.

1. A conversation about simplifying life: Lindsay suggested I reduce the number of plates I had spinning, to create more margin in my life.

2. I received a "let's part ways" email: a monthly freelance client was underwhelmed with the quality of work.

Number two directly effected number one, but not by my choice. Due to the number of spinning plates, I wasn't dedicating the effort needed to complete quality work. Only after receiving that email did I realize I was failing to meet expectations.

Sometimes life forces you to simplify.

On a completely unrelated note, I made a 2 volume book set of my instagram photos from 2016 and they turned out great! Click here for the service I used.
