"An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion."

Usually this law of motion is referenced in physics in conjunction with actual objects. But recently, I've been pondering this law in the realm of getting things done.

On Sunday afternoon, I accomplished several simple house maintenance tasks. After finishing each task, I considered sitting down to read. Instead, after each accomplishment I kept going and knocked off another task on the list. 

If I would have sat down: the momentum would have halted, the motion terminated, and procrastination would have ensued. Motion begets accomplishment.​​​
