On my way to work yesterday, I came to a stop sign and saw a family of deer (buck, doe, and 2 fawns) running along the road next to some high grass. They were somewhat surrounded by cars and unsure of where to escape. They looked spooked but eventually ran off into the high grass.
It was a beautiful scene, and I began to empathize with their situation. As a parent, I often feel as confused as the spooked deer. However, it was reassuring to see the fawns trust their parents, even though they were unsure of what to do.
