A tree crew recently came to slice and stack a fallen tree in our yard. The pieces were too large to fit in a fireplace so I needed to chop it up.

I unearthed an axe in our basement and went lumberjack on the logs. The axe had seen better days so that evening I searched online for a new one. I found a $30 version and a $200 version. Naturally (as an artist) I wanted the more expensive because of it's beauty. 

Many opt for function, but maybe the more desirable audience is the one that pays for beauty?
