Navigating a city in your car is a completely different experience than driving in the suburbs. When I hit the city streets, I turn into a much more aggressive driver, because if not, I'd never get anywhere. 

A similar parallel can be drawn when attempting to make change. Those that work within the system of approval may eventually get to their destination. But those who don't seek permission tend to get there faster, albeit more chaos in their wake.

Different road conditions call for different approaches. Being capable of identifying the right approach to take is a skill worth learning.
