In our professional culture today, we seek individuals who possess skills that match an opening. It's harder tho, to know what kind of choices they will make once on the job. This distinction however is quite important. It has the potential to greatly effect team dynamics. It's the difference between clock punchers and hustlers.

If possible, I'd hire a choice maker before the most talented practitioner.
